🏡🏢This is a hybrid role working at least 3 days per week from our London (Shoreditch) office.

The Role

As our business continues to scale globally, we are looking for an experienced Business Operations Manager to join our London team and support our expansion into the US. 

This fast-paced role involves championing operational excellence across the organisation to build a scalable foundation that supports our rapid growth trajectory. You’ll do this by owning the implementation of key strategic initiatives, while also identifying and resolving existing organisational inefficiencies and areas of increased risk.

You’ll report to the Head of US Business Operations and work closely with the Leadership team to support them in the delivery of strategic projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Translating high-level strategy into actionable plans and coordinating teams across the organisation to make it happen
  • Promoting operational excellence within all teams in the business, with customer experience at the forefront of everything you do
  • Becoming an expert on our systems and the technical side of the business to lead the implementation and delivery of strategic projects
  • Resolving incidents by owning customer remediation and identifying the root cause to redesign processes and ways of working to mitigate future occurrences
  • Analysing customer journeys, sourcing customer feedback, reporting, and running pilots to improve user experience 
  • Representing US business interests within the London office by acting as the key point of contact between core London teams, US employees and US partners
  • Please note, this is an individual contributor role and a manager of business operations projects as opposed to a manager of a team. 

We’re Looking For

  • Experience working in FinTech or at a fast-paced start-up
  • Excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all teams across the business
  • Comfortable operating within uncertainty and are naturally curious
  • Action-oriented and quick on the uptake, able to figure things out and get up to speed on the go
  • Excited by leaving processes in better places than you found them, with excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Customer-oriented and interested in optimising experiences and eliminating friction
  • Willingness to “get your hands dirty”
  • In this role, you’ll be expected to use SQL and Looker so any previous experience with these tools would be a bonus but is not essential. Interest in learning SQL is required
    Nice to have:
  • Familiarity with the credit world, including underwriting, reporting and disputes
  • Experience working in US markets, and familiarity with US FinTech compliance.
