Overview
Reporting to the Chief Product & Data Officer, the Business Manager of the U.S. Lists & Rankings business will be responsible for defining and executing strategies to enhance and grow Fortune's authoritative lists and rankings business. Fortune publishes iconic and acclaimed lists such as the Fortune 500, Most Powerful Women, and Fastest Growing Companies. This role will involve close collaboration with editorial, marketing, sales, and technology teams to ensure the continued integrity, relevance, and commercial success of our rankings and lists.
Responsibilities

Implement and recommend business strategies to grow the U.S. Lists & Rankings portfolio, ensuring alignment with Fortune’s overall mission and business goals.

Oversee the operational production and publication process of lists and rankings, ensuring accuracy, credibility, and timeliness.

Collaborate with editorial teams to ensure that list-related content meets the highest journalistic standards and resonates with Fortune’s audience.

Work with the marketing, sales and business development teams to develop and execute revenue-generating opportunities around the lists and rankings, including sponsorships, events, and data partnerships.

Monitor and understand market trends and the competitive landscape

Build and maintain strong relationships with external list partners and stakeholders, including industry data providers and experts.

Monitor and track KPIs such as revenue performance, ROI and product performance of lists
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in business, economics, marketing, journalism, or a related field is preferred.

10+ years of experience in business management or business operations, preferably within the media, digital content, or technology industries.

Proven track record of developing and executing successful business strategies that drive growth and revenue.

Strong understanding of the media, data and research landscape and industries.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills, particularly in terms of being able to influence stakeholders and colleagues even without direct reporting line authority

Strong problem-solving, attention to detail and decision-making skills.

Total Compensation Range (base salary & bonus) : $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 + 10 - 20% discretionary annual bonus
