Job Overview
As our Business Manager, you will play a critical role in Fortune’s overall success and growth in the UK and Europe, leveraging the strength of our global brand. You will act as the executive assistant to the Managing Director, Commercial Director, Executive Editor, Editorial Director, and List Director while also overseeing the office’s strategic initiatives and operational efficiency. This role requires a proactive attitude, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and strong business acumen. You will be versatile and a true problem-solver, ensuring our London office functions smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support

Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Managing Director and other executives, including calendar management, travel arrangements, and expense reporting.

Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.
Office Management

Oversee daily office operations, fostering a collaborative, productive, and efficient work environment.

Manage facilities and IT infrastructure to support day-to-day operations.

Streamline and optimize business processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Handle office budgets, expense tracking, and cost-saving initiatives.

Coordinate office events and meetings, including researching and managing external venue bookings.

Liaise and build strong relationships with relevant teams in New York (HR, Legal, IT, etc.) to improve office functionality.

Manage office supplies, equipment, and maintenance, including vendor and partner relationships.
Qualifications

Proven experience in executive assistance and office management, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

Strong technological skills to support the team with IT issues outside of NY support hours.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Proactive problem-solving skills and a positive, can-do attitude.

Proficiency in foreign languages, including French, Spanish, or German, is desirable.
