Reporting to the Director of Analytics, the Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the integrity of BI solutions that are crucial in supporting data analysis and reporting. An important part of the BI Analyst’s role will also be to perform complex data analysis leveraging BI tools and visualizations to uncover actionable insights that help drive business decisions.

Roles and responsibilities
Data Analysis Mastery
Develop and maintain BI reports and dashboards that provide stakeholders with actionable insights to drive business decisions.
Conduct thorough data analyses to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth and business optimization.
Assist in developing statistical and predictive analytics models enhancing business performance (e.g. predict consumer behavior, marketing attribution, customer lifetime value, sales forecasts, etc.).
Robust BI Development
Develop and implement scalable BI solutions using tools such as Power BI and Looker.
Design and maintain ETL processes and data models to ensure efficient data flow and integrity.
Data Quality Assurance
Implement rigorous data quality checks and validation processes to uphold data integrity.
Proactively identify and resolve data discrepancies to ensure accurate reporting and analysis.
Document existing reports, their purposes, and monitor stakeholder utilization to limit report redundancy.
Strategic Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, translating complex data analyses into actionable recommendations.
Collaborate effectively across teams to understand business needs and deliver tailored BI solutions.
2+ years of relevant hands-on work experience as BI Analyst/Developer, Data Analyst, Data Scientist or related field performing data analysis, creating complex data models and gaining a strong understanding of BI solutions.
A degree in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or other relevant field; Master’s degree an asset.
Proficiency in SQL, Python and Excel for data manipulation, querying and data analysis.
Expert in using BI tools such as Power BI, Looker or Tableau to create insightful visualizations.
Demonstrated ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
Experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modelling techniques (i.e. Snowflake, Airbyte, AWS (S3, Redshift, Glue, Appflow)).
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to cross functional stakeholders; Bilingual (English/French) a strong asset.
