ispaceでは、会社の事業戦略および組織横断の課題全般を担う部門であるGlobal Business Straetgy Groupにおいて、CRO (Chief Revenue Officer) の右腕として、時には経営に近い立場で、時には現場の最前線で、共にispaceのビジネスをインキュベートして頂けるBusiness Development Specialistを求めています。
業務内容は、グローバル全体にかかわる内容が中心で、ispaceのビジネスの核となる全社ビジョン・戦略の具体化、政府・民間企業を巻き込んだIndustry Creation活動(ロビーイングや経済合理性の試算)、Global営業戦略検討・采配、グローバル共通のNew Business検討、Global Collaboration促進するための業務・仕組み改善など様々で、それらの業務を、ルクセンブルク・米国支社とも協働しながら検討頂きます。
関係者もCRO Domain内に留まらず、CEO・CTO・CFO・CPOとも、また各部門のヘッドであるCxOとも日常的にコミュニケーションを取りつつ、ビジネスを牽引頂きます。多くの場合、それぞれの立場で意見が異なり、議論になるケースが多いですが、建設的に議論をファシリテートし、関係者をまとめあげ、事業を推進頂きます。
与えられた業務を遂行する面もありますが、自ら課題・論点を定義し、その解決に向けて社内外を動かすことも求められます。
We are seeking a business development specialist to join our team and collaborate closely with our Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). This role involved working as a key parter in driving our business forward, taking on responsibilities that range from support top management to engaging directly in frontline activities. You will be an integral part of the Global business Strategy group, the department responsible for shaping ispace’s business strategy and addressing cross-organizational challenges.
The role primarily focus on shaping the global strategy of ispace. this includes formulating the company-wide vision and strategies that are central to our business.
Key responsibilities involve engaging in industry creation activities with government and private companies, such as lobbying and economic rationale assessments, as well as guiding global sales strategies. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities that are application across global operations and improving systems and processes to enhance global collaboration. This work will be done in close cooperation with our entities in Luxembourg and the United States.
In this role, your responsibilities will be broad and encompass leading initiatives not only within the CRO domain, but also in collaboration with CEO, CTO and CFO, with whom you will communicate daily. Given the diversity of perspectives across this role, you will often encounter different opinions that may lead to disagreements. Your key task will be to constructively facilitate discussions, align stakeholders and drive the business forward.
While executing assigned tasks is a part of the role, you will also be expected to independently identify issues and area of contention and work both internally and externally to resolve them.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Lead the planning and execution of strategies within the CRO office.
- Team Operations Design: Develop and implement organizational structures, authority frameworks, meeting structures, and operational rules.
- New Business Development: Collaborate with the CTO and Product Manager to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Projects: Manage and coordinate projects that span across US, Luxembourg, Japan, and/or involve the CEO, CTO, and CFO offices.
- Documentation: Prepare and manage both internal and external documentation for customers and C-suite executives.
- Special Projects: Handle urgent and high-priority projects as they arise.
Additionally, for key deals, major projects, and new business ventures, you may be assigned to manage your own accounts, overseeing the entire process from planning and proposals to internal and external negotiations, contract finalization, and execution.
Basic Qualifications
- B2Bの技術サービスを商材(目安として取引金額1億円/件以上レベル)とする分野において、事業開発、営業(含む技術営業)、プロジェクトマネジメントの経験(目安としてプロジェクト期間数年、予算規模数億円レベル)がのべ5年以上あること。
- または、ビジネスコンサルタントとして、顧客の戦略検討や課題解決のための施策を提案・実行する経験がのべ5年以上あること。
- 事業戦略の立案並びに戦略を遂行するためのチーム組成、オペレーション設計&遂行の経験
- 数学、物理学の大学基礎教養レベルの知識
- ビジネスレベル以上の日本語、英語力

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in business development, sales (including technical sales), or project management within the B2B technical services sector, with a focus on commercial products, ideally involving transaction values of 100 million yen or more. Alternatively, at least 5 years of experience as a business consultant, focusing on customer strategy development, proposal, and execution.

Team Collaboration: Proven experience working with cross-regional and cross-functional teams, including essential collaboration with engineers.

Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of mathematics and physics at the university introductory level.

Language Skills: Proficiency in both Japanese and English at a business level.
Preferred Qualifications
- 宇宙業界での、特にペイロードやデータ、通信のビジネス経験

Industry Experience: Prior experience in the space industry, particularly in payloads, data, and telecommunications.

Educational Background: A master’s degree or higher in aerospace engineering.
- Government Project Experience: Experience in securing, bidding for, and delivering services to NASA or other government agencies.

International Business Experience: Work experience with companies outside of Japan.

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with spacecraft subsystems (such as structure, thermal, avionics, software, GN&C, propulsion, operations, and AIT) and system engineering.

Legal and Financial qualification: Basic understanding of public relations, legal concepts (especially contract law), and accounting (e.g., financial statements).

- ビジネス、マーケティング、広報、技術、法務、財務・経理、など、幅広い知識が求められます。必ずしも入社段階で全てが満たされている必要はありませんが、入社後すぐにキャッチアップして頂く必要があります。
- 年に数回の海外出張(1回あたり1~2週間程度)の可能性があります。
- Knowledge Requirement: A broad knowledge base across business, marketing, public relations, technology, legal, finance, and accounting is essential. While not all of these skills are required upon joining, there is an expectation to quickly develop them.
- Travel: Occasional overseas business trips, approximately 1-2 weeks per trip, several times a year, may be required.
