Business Development / Revenue Operations Representative

Banyan is growing rapidly and seeking Business Development / Revenue Operations Representative with a demonstrated track record of success to join our growing Sales Team. As a BDR, you will play a vital role in identifying and qualifying new sales leads that will directly contribute to revenue generation. You'll work closely with our marketing team to convert leads generated by campaigns and engage potential clients across various channels.

This role reports to the VP of Sales and works on a hybrid weekly schedule based in our San Francisco office (3 days in office/2 remote) with the flexibility to adjust on an ad hoc basis. 

What you’ll do:

  • Strategically research and identify high-potential leads within our target market
  • Proactively conduct outbound prospecting through cold calls, emails, and social selling techniques
  • Thoroughly qualify leads and nurture them through the sales pipeline.
  • Articulate our product value proposition to prospective clients while addressing their pain points
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to schedule meetings and ensure smooth handoff of qualified leads
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of prospects and interactions within our CRM system (Salesforce)
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and develop insights that support our business development efforts
  • Collaborate with internal teams to share insights and feedback; coordinate cross-functional support to deliver a great sales experience 
  • Administer Salesforce, Clari and other revenue operations platforms on behalf of the sales team
  • Partner with VP of Sales and other department heads on revenue operations and reporting

What you’ll need:

  • 3+ years of proven experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Development Representative, or similar sales-focused role
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding lead generation and sales quotas
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messaging effectively
  • Self-motivated with a hunter mentality and a results-oriented mindset
  • Proficient with CRM systems (Salesforce) and productivity tools (Clari).
  • Familiarity with social selling strategies on platforms like LinkedIn
  • Experience in the SaaS, climate tech, renewables or sustainability sectors is a major plus but not required
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to identify knowledge gaps, learn quickly, and adapt
  • Enthusiasm for Banyan’s mission and alignment with our values

Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 OTE (On Target Earnings comprised of base salary and variable commission plan) unlimited upside potential
