Business Development Representative

Come join the Wistia sales team! As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for generating qualified opportunities through database and outbound prospecting to support the growth of our new and existing customer base. You will provide value to prospective customers through identification of common video marketing pain points and the ability to share solutions at a high level before transitioning prospect to an Account Executive. 



Wistia delivers a simple and easy-to-use solution to over 20,000 customers, including companies like Mailchimp, Casper, Zendesk and Shopify. But, we’ve only scratched the surface of our addressable market. We are looking for a creative, curious, and driven person to join our team and help more SMB’s grow and engage their audience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify business opportunities through qualification of inbound and outbound leads
  • Research, email, and call prospects and/or customers using SFDC database and third-party tools such as Outreach 
  • Personalize value-based outreach to understand prospect or customer pain points and provide recommendations
  • Expectation to go above and beyond daily call and email metrics to hit quota
  • Partner and strategize directly with Account Executives
  • Generate new pipeline by inspiring prospects and/or customers to take the next step in the sales process
  • Schedule product demonstrations with members of the account executive team.
  • Qualify prospects based on the sales process and book meetings with appropriate Sales Consultants
  • Receive career development enablement to prep for a closing sales role

Qualifications

  • 6+ months of experience with proven success in a prior BDR role
    • Preferred but not required:  Outbound Experience
