Business Development Representative – Lead Generation
Preferred Locations: Washington, D.C. / Boston, MA (Remote options available)
Wellist is seeking a full-time, detail-oriented Business Development Representative to play a pivotal role in
driving the company’s growth by expanding its footprint within the employer market. In this role, you will be
responsible for identifying and building sales leads by researching potential clients, identifying key decision-
makers, and securing meetings for the sales team. You’ll be contributing directly to the success and
scalability of Wellist’s mission to improve employee well-being.
We are looking for passionate and driven candidates with exceptional communication skills. The ideal
candidate will enjoy uncovering personalized details to create engaging outreach for CHROs and Total
Rewards Executives at large companies. This individual will also have a sharp eye for detail, ensuring
accurate and thorough records in Wellist’s CRM database to drive a data-driven sales process.
What You Will Do:
You will be responsible for generating high-quality leads and securing a targeted number of meetings with
decision-makers each quarter. Your tasks will include:
• Researching and identifying potential clients (companies)
• Identifying key decision-makers at targeted companies and appropriate call points
• Crafting compelling email, phone call, and social media outreach to engage decision-makers
• Managing and executing outbound prospecting campaigns
• Maintaining accurate and complete records in Wellist’s CRM database (HubSpot)
• Tracking, analyzing, and reporting the results of business development activities, while
recommending process improvements
What You’ll Need:
• 2+ years of experience in business development, marketing, or sales, preferably in a B2B market
• Proven success in identifying leads and setting up meetings with senior executives (e.g., CHROs,
Total Rewards Executives)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is required
• Strong research and analytical skills with acute attention to detail
• Proficiency in CRM software (HubSpot preferred)
• Self-motivation, resiliency, and creativity, plus the ability to work independently and within a team
