Business Development Representative (Remote - US Based)

We’re on the hunt for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive growth by closing deals, generating upsells, and supporting partner sales teams. This role is perfect for a motivated closer who enjoys connecting with potential customers, identifying their needs, and showcasing the value of our industry-leading digital waiver solutions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Sales & Revenue Growth
    • Manage & nurture the sales pipeline – Follow up on inbound leads, schedule demos, negotiate pricing, and close deals.
    • Convert trial users into customers – Engage with businesses at the end of their software trials to guide them toward a Smartwaiver subscription.
    • Drive upsells & renewals – Identify customers exceeding their waiver limits, negotiate new plans, and ensure seamless account upgrades.
    • Represent Smartwaiver at trade shows – Engage with prospects, demo our product, and generate leads at industry events.
  • Partner & Relationship Management
    • Support partner sales teams – Act as a Smartwaiver expert, providing sales guidance, answering questions, and helping partners drive adoption.
    • Host engaging demos & webinars – Educate partners on Smartwaiver’s benefits, best practices, and new features.
  • Sales Reporting & CRM Management
    • Track & report key sales metrics – Log outreach, conversions, pipeline movement, and revenue impact in Salesforce.
    • Engage in daily & weekly sales standups – Share wins, discuss roadblocks, and set priorities for ongoing success.
  • Sales Training & Continuous Growth
    • Master our sales process – Learn Smartwaiver’s value proposition, features, and best practices through hands-on training & role-playing exercises
    • Stay ahead of the curve – Participate in monthly skill-building (AI tools, negotiation tactics) and quarterly deep dives into market trends, customer success stories, and competitive insights.

 

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or customer success (preferably in SaaS or tech).
  • Strong communication skills – Confident, persuasive, and able to engage customers across phone, email, and chat.
  • A self-starter mindset – You love hitting (and exceeding) targets and thrive in an independent, fast-moving environment.
  • Tech-savvy & organized – Comfortable using CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot), chat/email automation, and AI-powered sales tools.
  • Industry experience a plus! – Knowledge of adventure, fitness, or recreation industries is a bonus!

Salary Range Disclosure

The base range represents the low and high end of the Togetherwork salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Togetherwork's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include discretionary bonuses, long term incentives, a flexible paid vacation/personal time policy, 6 weeks paid parental leave and more.

Salary Range

US Remote: $45,000-$50,000 Base Salary
