A Business Development Representative is responsible for proactive outbound prospecting and lead management. This position will have a direct impact on our success by providing qualifying prospects from lead status into the sales pipeline.
This role will act as a layer between marketing and sales that will handle a large amount of all first contact with new clients and build relationships through marketing activity events, campaigns, direct mail, email, etc. The goal of an Inside Sales Representative is to qualify the lead through opportunity discovery and set product demonstration with a Regional Sales Directors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Including, but not limited to the following:
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly quota objectives
- Plan activities to generate leads using the most efficient means, in collaboration with Marketing
- Align with Regional Sales Directors to cover their assigned territories in an equal and balanced way
- Generate and qualify leads through campaign calling, inbound prospects from the Web, Events, and Social Media
- Pass qualified leads to Regional Sales Director
- Regularly review lead and pipeline progression
- Maintain a high-level understanding of PracticeMatch solution expertise and competitive intelligence
- Populates and maintains a customer records database to support opportunity pipeline management.
- Maintain an and engage organized pipeline of sales leads
- At least 1-year experience in direct or indirect inside sales preferred
- Associate's Degree required, Bachelor Degree Preferred
- Basic knowledge in prospecting via phone and email in a sales environment.
- Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Strong phone and written customer communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize work assignments based on the needs of the department or business goals.
- Fluent in English
- Ability to build consistent new revenue pipeline
- Ability to manage time effectively, work independently and be self-motivated.
- Commitment to stay current with industry/sector trends
- Ability to articulate, define and execute creative strategies to grow PracticeMatch business and reach new markets
- Ability to interface within a multi-brand sales organization
- Demonstrated communication skills, a team player, and the ability to achieve set targets
- Strong PC skills required, including use of standard MS Office applications; knowledge of Salesforce.com a plus
