About the role: 

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective clients, playing a critical role in generating and qualifying leads for our sales pipeline. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and is eager to build relationships with public safety leaders to promote Carbyne's cutting-edge solutions.

Here’s what you’ll be working on:

  • Lead Generation: Identify and research potential customers through market analysis, industry events, and CRM tools.
  • Outreach: Conduct outbound prospecting via email, phone calls, LinkedIn, and other communication channels to introduce Carbyne's solutions.
  • Qualify Leads: Engage with prospects to understand their needs, pain points, and decision-making process, qualifying them as viable sales opportunities.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Work with the marketing team to design and execute targeted campaigns that drive awareness and engagement in key markets.
  • Tracking Marketing Efforts: Monitor and evaluate the success of marketing initiatives, campaigns, and events, providing feedback and actionable insights to refine strategies.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, first responders, and technology partners.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to execute campaigns, share market insights, and optimize lead generation efforts.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all interactions and progress within the CRM system to ensure transparency and alignment across teams.
  • Performance Metrics: Meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs), including number of qualified leads, conversion rates, and outbound activities.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or marketing roles, ideally in SaaS, technology, or public safety industries.
  • Familiarity with tracking and analyzing marketing campaign performance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn and articulate complex solutions in an engaging and simplified manner.
  • Passion for public safety and technology.
  • Resilient, persistent, and adaptable in the face of challenges.
  • Eager to grow in a high-impact, fast-paced environment.
