We work with some of the largest Fortune 500 chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturers and provide their engineers with a next generation AI co-pilot. Our platform provides these engineers with real-time recommendations on the next best action they can take in their plants to improve efficiency as well as reduce costs and asset downtime.

About the role

The Business Development Representative will focus on building a pipeline for Basetwo’s SaaS platform via outbound prospecting to pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturers. This position will support an account executive role and will report directly to the Head of Sales/co-founder. You will be responsible for booking discovery meetings and qualifying prospective customers through targeted questions and research about their business. You’ll spend most of your time on various outbound prospecting tactics and collaborating with the Account Executive and Marketing team to attract potential new clients.

What You’ll Do

  • Research target accounts and prospects to book discovery meetings and create pipeline opportunities.
  • Target new logos through outbound efforts (i.e. by executing email and LinkedIn/Sales Navigator campaigns).
  • Qualify potential customers by gathering information about their priorities, goals and current technologies used.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Executive team to strategize best ways to prospect into target accounts and contribute to account plans. Share feedback on messaging and tactics.
  • Track all activities, SQLs, prospects, and account information in our CRM (Hubspot)
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and take the initiative to hit quarterly targets

Requirements

What You’ll Need

  • Passionate about enterprise sales, AI, and tech startups
  • 1-2 years of sales/customer-facing work experience (ideally in SaaS)
  • Bonus: Some experience selling Industrial IoT, lab or manufacturing tech
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
  • Strong listening skills combined with the ability to ask the right questions and accurately distill information
  • A sense of urgency and ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
  • Highly motivated, ambitious, self-driven and not easily discouraged
  • Fluent in English
