Singapore is the dynamic, innovation hub of Asia, and often New Zealand companies first step into the ASEAN region. Our Singapore based team are looking for a well-connected and energetic Business Development Manager to help New Zealand businesses enter, grow and thrive in the local market.
This is an interesting role, with loads of opportunity for you to use your valuable experience and connections in the food & beverage and/or health and wellness space. You will proactively support New Zealand companies to develop and execute their business growth plans, identifying and providing introductions, market insights, and strategic guidance. You’ll also be involved in the ongoing identification and building of potential growth opportunities and connections.
A superb relationship manager and team player, you will be part of a global organisation working with colleagues in the broader Asia region and New Zealand to achieve the New Zealand government's economic development goals and help deliver to Singapore’s needs.
What you’ll need to be successful | Ō Pūkenga
You’ll be someone with commercial smarts and know-how to manage a portfolio of companies, you’ll use your curiosity and strategic skills in evaluating companies strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities and supporting them with market entry and growth strategies. You will be nimble, flexible, have a willingness to 'roll your sleeves up' and think outside the box.
Proven commercial acumen is critical, as is the ability to work alongside CEOs, locally-employed teams and regional partners. You will have superior communication, business consulting and relationship management skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and form collaborative relationships with others. You will thrive at networking, be well-connected in the industry, and understand the role Singapore plays in doing business in Asia.
