Business Development Manager | Scaffolding Industry Dubai

We are currently looking for a driven "Business Development Manager Scaffolding Industry" to join our versatile team in Dubai.

You will be reporting directly to the Regional Director Scaffolding Industry Middle East & Africa and be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Supports the creation and execution of the scaffolding strategy for the UAE
  • Drives the strategic target setting for the industry scaffolding segment 
  • Builds up a network within the country of relevant stakeholders 
  • Screens business potentials by analyzing the market with the focus on different customer groups (existing and new) as well as projects
  • Ensures the whole sales process for scaffolding:
    • Coordinates pre-qualification processes to approach potential clients, express interest of bidding and ensure the successful pre-qualification of the company
    • Reviews necessary requirements to work in specific projects (approvals/permits/licenses) and works on their fulfillment
    • Wins new business by coordinating requirements as well as developing and negotiating contracts
    • Communicates intensively with clients, consultants and project managers
    • Creates added value propositions and presentations for internal and client use 
    • Follows up on the project pipeline and plan customer visits
  • Drives scaffolding marketing initiatives in the country in cooperation with the Marketing Team
  • Manages internal and external training activities

Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience

  • Intensive sales and business development experience in the scaffolding sector in the country
  • Technical/Civil Engineering Qualification
  • profound knowledge of scaffolding systems and standards ( including the ring-lock system)
  • On-site scaffolding experience
  • Relationship network to potential scaffolding clients and other key stakeholders in the construction scaffolding segment

Skills / Characteristics

  • Solid communication skills in English
  • Diplomatic approach and a high level of negotiation skills
  • Ability to gain trust, build rapport and network
  • Ability to develop and drive a strategy and achieve targets
  • Hands-on ability
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the country
