YOUR ROLE:
The role of Business Development Manager, Public Sector plays a critical role in the business strategy for PALO IT Singapore. The public sector holds a significant position in our operations, requiring someone to drive comprehensive oversight and spearhead its expansion. This position requires extensive collaboration to craft go-to-market strategies aligned with our company’s goals, with a focus on driving sales in the public sector.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about public sector trends, risks, the competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
- Identify market gaps and potential growth areas specific to government and public sector needs.
- Use data-driven insights to refine sales approaches for public sector engagements.
Sales Operations:
- Own and deliver on the overall go-to-market strategy for the public sector.
- Proactively identify and engage with key prospects, including government agencies and public institutions, to build a robust business development pipeline.
- Supervise sales activities, from prospect qualification to closing sales opportunities in designated accounts.
- Coordinate with marketing for lead generation campaigns targeted at public sector audiences.
- Ensure adherence to sales processes and compliance with public sector procurement standards and regulations.
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and manage deep, trusted relationships with key public sector clients.
- Understand client needs, identify opportunities, and propose tailored solutions for government agencies and public institutions.
- Collaborate with product and service teams to ensure client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Strategic Partnerships:
- Establish partnerships with technology vendors, public sector institutions, and industry associations to support public sector initiatives.
- Participate in public sector-focused industry events for thought leadership and networking.
- Leverage these relationships to drive business growth and future opportunities.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in sales, especially within the IT industry.
- Extensive experience in leading and developing public sector accounts.
- Strong expertise in crafting proposals and solutions to meet government-specific needs.
- Experience in agile delivery methodologies, particularly in public sector environments.
- Experience with project management and public sector procurement processes.
- Previous experience working within a consultancy environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Candidates with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong relationship-building skills in the public sector will be preferred.
We will be prioritizing applicants who have a current right to work in Singapore, and do not require sponsorship of a visa.
