Fnatic has a vision to shape and set the standards for how brands engage in the new world of entertainment.

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping this vision and connecting partners to the growing gaming/esports audience. Leveraging Fnatic’s capabilities across esports, social, video, streaming, community, events and creators, you’ll market traditional sporting sponsorship rights as well as new digital media properties to generate revenue through partnerships with Tier 1 global brands.

A natural communicator, you’ll continuously grow your network and bring a genuine, creative approach to engaging new partners in and around the world of gaming.

Your mission is to:

  • Thoroughly understand the motivations and expectations of brands in partnering with Fnatic, and build the foundations of a long term relationship
  • Ideate and draft KPI driven strategies that will drive value for our partners, achieving their goals and expectations from working with Fnatic
  • Pitch activations to leading global brands that enable them to actively engage Fnatic’s audience throughout the partnership
  • Take accountability for a pipeline of opportunities according to our sales strategy, and meet agreed revenue targets
  • Negotiate agreements that fully maximise Fnatic’s assets and the profitability of the relationship
  • Provide weekly reports to the Business Development Lead and Fnatic management on key tasks, mission critical updates, as well as potential obstacles you might be encountering
  • Be an internal ambassador for partners within Fnatic
  • Help to further refine Fnatic’s commercial proposition, positioning us a gaming innovator and supporting the development a sustainable commercial model for esports
  • When relevant, oversee the work of junior team members who provide research/pipeline support and help to develop best-in-class internal processes
  • Support Partner Success and Partner Marketing teams through collaborating with colleagues in ongoing partnerships
  • Own ad-hoc commercial projects as defined by your manager

We're looking for:

  • Strong background selling digital media properties for rights-holder(s), directly or via agency (ideally 3+ years)
  • Track record of over-achievement in sales and hunger to exceed targets
  • Ability to present innovative ideas leveraging digital marketing and sponsorship assets in ways that deliver for the client
  • Strategic thinking on how brands can engage with audiences, and ability to articulate this to potential partners
  • An engaging personality and natural rapport with people
  • Honesty in self-evaluating and a desire for constant improvement
  • Creativity and ability to participate in and lead ideation
  • Someone who thrives with autonomy in a delivery-focused environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English, additional languages desirable
  • Degree in business/media/marketing/advertising/psychology (desirable)
