- Responsible for the development and performance of all marketing and sales activities in assigned market;
- Maintaining and developing a computerized customer and prospect database;
- Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area.
Personality, skills and knowledge required:
- Understand company operation and knowledge of products, services and laboratory facilities & capabilities;
- Good business and selling skills for laboratory testing and analysis consultancy;
- Background knowledge of sampling equipment and devices used in project department and laboratory;
- Familiar with relevant local government laws and regulations and MS ISO/IEC 17025 clauses 4.4, 4.7 & 4.8.
- Self-driven, results oriented, responsible and has good communication and supervisory skills
Brief summary of job holder’s scope of duties:
- Plan, organise and control of department activities such as costing, quotation, tender etc;
- Resources and Manpower planning to maximise utilization to meet the sales target;
- Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets;
- Setting targets to himself/herself as well as sales executives;
- Supervising, motivating and monitoring sales team performance;
- Providing timely feedback to senior management regarding performance;
- Plan and organise for market research, competitor and customer surveys;
- Promote or introduce company’s products and testing services to new customer;
- Survey and understand the market competitor’s activities and laboratory testing trends;
- Plan and implement effective marketing strategy to achieve measurable sales target;
- Maintain customer databases; keep records of customer interaction and transactions, and the details of inquiries, comment and complaints.
- Analyse, evaluate and review customer’s feedback on services.
- Handle and resolve customer complaints to ensure proper resolution.
- Communicate and coordinate with internal departments to meet customer timeframes and enquiries.
- Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the customer’s experience.
- Perform other job related duties as may be assigned by the top management.
- B.Sc. degree in Chemistry discipline or equivalents.
- Minimum 5 years and above experiences in related industries
