Business Development Manager

Responsible for the development of the DiscoverX products and the Eurofins biotherapeutic drug discovery service business in France, Benelux, Spain, Portugal and the French Speaking Part of Switzerland.

The role will include the identification, development and closing of opportunities for the sale of enzymes, reagents, cell based assays for R&D and bioassays for late stage development, custom protein production and assay development services. The role will also include the development of the Eurofins Biotherapeutic service business such as antibody screening, biotherapeutic characterization and manufacturability testing in both new accounts and active accounts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Achieve/exceed assigned revenue targets in designated territory
• Consultative selling of
  • Eurofins DiscoverX products including enzymes, reagents, cell based assays for R&D and bioassays for the development of biotherapeutics
  • Eurofins DiscoverX custom protein production and assay development services
  • Eurofins Discovery’s biotherapeutic service portfolio supporting biotherapeutic screening and characterization
• Gain understanding of drug discovery and bioassay market, customer needs, and competitive landscape in France, French Speaking Part of Switzerland, Benelux, Spain and Portugal
• Uncover new opportunities and help follow-up marketing leads (tradeshows etc.)

To perform this job sucessfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required. Must be fluent in French and English and capable to have a sucessful business conversation or presentation in both languages

Education/Experience (BMQ):

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechology, or related field is required
• At least 2 years‘ experience in promoting and selling of products and/or services into drug discovery departments of biotech, pharma and CRO companies
• Track record of successful selling
• Existing client network in France and/or Benelux preferred

Position location : France or Benelux

You will be employed by a local Eurofins company in the country of your residence.
