The role involves identifying and qualifying and consistently delivering new customer opportunities. You'll build strong professional relationships and leverage internal resources to strengthen Civica's credibility with customers. It involves researching industry strategies, acting as a trusted advisor, shaping deals early in the sales cycle, and advancing profitable revenue growth. You'll have an opportunity to showcase your expertise in crafting business development plans that yield effective results. You'll work with our other BDMs, Account Managers and Pre-sales specialists.

Requirements

What you'll do to be successful in the role

  • We're looking for someone who is driven by, and ideally has a track record of delivering new business opportunities
  • Ideally we would love someone from an Arbory background, but a relevant field such as Viticulture, Horticulture or Landscaping would suit
  • A prior experience in Risk Management
  • You get the nuances of working with our Linksafe and Arborsafe Business unit and demonstrate best in class ways to identify new opportunities and understanding how to maximise sales opportunities based on these sales cycles.
  • Embrace and be motivated by working to targets. You'll meet and exceed KPIs, including pipeline metrics, opportunity coverage, wallet share, and acquisition plans.
  • You'll effectively communicate ideas and strategies, and show case your compelling presentation skills.
  • You know how to effectively manage a sales pipeline, forecasting, and tracking opportunities within CRM systems (we use Salesforce). You're analytical by nature, you monitor and track your pipeline, and pivot when needed.
  • You'll have proven experience in bid preparation and are proficiency in bid preparation, support, and submission processes.
  • You know how to utilize financial-selling techniques with customers and internally to demonstrate value and facilitate sales.
  • You stay up-to-date with industry trends, sales techniques and innovation in technology.
