Business Development Manager (Digital Publisher Partner Development)

Fortune Media is a global media organization dedicated to helping its readers, viewers, and attendees succeed in business through unrivaled access and best-in-class storytelling. We are seeking a Manager of Business Development to join our team to support digital syndication and on-site partnership deal process and work closely with internal departments, including legal, editorial, marketing, product, finance, and technology to execute the deals.

Responsibilities:

· Identify, structure, and negotiate digital deals with senior level contacts in media and technology companies and champion through the entire contract process

· Prospect and evaluate new partnership opportunities and manage the vetting of inbound business proposals and inquiries

· Prepare analyses in support of negotiations and develop recommendations to present to key stakeholders

· Collaborate closely with product, engineering, marketing, business, and legal teams throughout the lifecycle of a deal and champion objectives of the deal across the organization

· Develop, track, and communicate analyses of partnership performance; ensure ongoing alignment with deal commitments

 

Qualification Requirements

· 4-year degree required; marketing or business degree preferred

· 3-5 years in account management or client services with at least one year of leadership experience

· The ideal candidate is a passionate business leader with business development/partner management experience who has a track record of achieving great results through partnerships as well as a demonstrated ability to be creative, to negotiate and launch effective partnerships

· Experience in publishing and an understanding of emerging AI opportunities is a plus.

· You are highly ambitious, self-starter, passionate about digital media and entrepreneurial in nature.

· The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical skillset, experience working on a variety of partnerships and vendors in a media organization, and a proven ability to effectively communicate and present to cross-functional stakeholders

· Exceptional communication, collaboration, prioritization, problem solving, critical thinking, and influencing skills

· Digital-oriented and business savvy with ability to learn necessary technology and business initiatives quickly

 

Total Compensation:  $70K-$100K (Base + bonus or incentive)
