The Business Development Intern in Panama will formulate and implement a targeted sales strategies that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Business Development team. The intern is expected to gain a comprehensive understanding of opportunities present in each sales channel. This understanding will be leveraged to develop a variety of strategies aimed at boosting the sales of Visa credentials. The intern's role is pivotal in identifying potential growth areas, optimizing sales channels, and driving the overall business development of the organization in the Panamanian market. There will be a special focus on opportunities to develop payment solutions and supporting the Account Executive´s management of strategic clients and projects.
Some of the main responsibilities include:

Identify the Opportunity Size & Key Stakeholders: Support the develop plans/strategies with key Clients and other stakeholders to achieve brand preference including initiatives related to grow actual and new portfolio (CMS and Financial Inclusion), VAS Products, Advisory Services, operations efficiency.

Complete competitive analysis for new opportunities: Work with clients to maximize growth and profitability by coordinating resources to support decisions affecting the development of target market/client´s strategies, product development, product mix, risk mitigation and marketing.

Facilitate the design of Visa value proposition and action plan by client segment: Support and collaborate with internal teams that collect and analyze market/Client´s data to identify business development opportunities in line with account plans. Support processing of incentive payments, including VIK requirements, as well as internal finance back-office process for incentive payments.

Map and prioritize target projects: Utilize consultative and interactive sales strategies that support the client’s business objectives and maximize the performance of our metrics and resources.

Project Management Skills: Basic understanding of project management principles and practices.

Business Analytics Knowledge: Familiarity with business analytics methods and tools.

Data Analysis Proficiency: Basic skills in data collection, organization, interpretation, and presentation.

English Proficiency: Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.

Relevant Field of Study: Currently enrolled in a degree program related to business, market economy, finance, data science, or a similar field.
