Summary:

KBRA (Kroll Bond Rating Agency, LLC) is currently searching for an Associate Director or Director to join our growing CMBS Business Development team in the New York office.  The individual will build an exciting career with us and support our exponential growth.  The individual will be responsible for supporting the Business Development team in marketing the full range of capabilities of all KBRA Business Lines, with a particular focus on our growing CMBS businesses.  The individual will assist in the development and execution of all elements of the sales process including presentation production, client communications, market research, internal communications, database management and all other functions that help the team achieve its marketing and business goals.  

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive CMBS Business Development efforts through client relationship building and management
  • Proactive and coordinated outreach and relationship building across the CMBS ecosystems, including coverage of issuers & bankers
  • Oversee, prepare and track the stages of issuer engagements to completion, while working closely with both the analytical and commercial teams
  • Manage transaction pipeline to assist senior management in forecasting transaction flow and revenue
  • Produce quarterly CMBS market share data to track KBRA’s standing relative to competitors
  • Assist in market research projects to aid the development of sales efforts and strategies for marketing purposes
  • Work and coordinate closely with the KBRA’s Investor Relations team, and act as a liaison with the ratings teams
  • Attend related conferences to gather market intelligence and build relationships with current and potential clients

 Key Skills/Experience:

  • Six (6) or more years of structured finance, investor relations or sales experience with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Specific CMBS transaction lifecycle experience within a rating agency, issuer, banking, legal or Big 4 accounting securitization team a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing, or Business Management.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office:  PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Knowledge of Bloomberg/Salesforce software is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Assertive, organized, detailed oriented, creative, energetic and resourceful.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as work closely with partners in a collaborative environment.

Salary Range:

The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $115,000 - $175,000.  Offer amounts are determined by experience, skills, geography, and other job-related factors.
