Our client is a private equity firm specializing in minority investments in businesses with significant growth potential. We provide capital and strategic expertise to support businesses in achieving their growth objectives while creating valuable opportunities for investors. The team brings extensive experience and a strong track record in identifying and scaling successful businesses across various industries.

They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development and Marketing Associate to join the team. The BDA will support the Business Development and Marketing team in identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships and driving the growth of our investment management services. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities and a keen interest in the investment management industry

What you will do

  • Market research: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Lead generation: Assist in the identification and qualification of new business leads through extracting lists from the firm’s lead generation activities (e.g. web form submissions, webinar registrations, content consumption, etc.) and research.
  • Client relationship management: Support the Business Development team in maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing clients and prospects.
  • Proposal and collateral development: Assist in the preparation, coordination and updating of proposals, presentations and marketing materials for potential clients.
  • Client data management: Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate and timely information on leads, prospects and client interactions.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on business development activities, including lead tracking, conversion rates and market analysis.
  • Event coordination: Assist in organising and managing events, webinars (livestreams), conferences and meetings related to business development initiatives.
  • Website: Maintain the content on the website including posting thought leadership articles and webinar recordings, updating content and messaging as directed by the Chief Marketing Officer and managing fixes of the website as required.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the investment team to ensure alignment and support of business development goals.
  • Administrative support: Provide general administrative support to the team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Ad hoc requests as directed by any of the team

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years experience in business development, sales, or client relations within the financial services industry is a plus.
  • Ability to make sensible decisions as part of being self-directed including good skills in problem solving and/or offering possible solutions to roadblocks.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in highly accurate work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), MailChimp, Zoom and WordPress an advantage.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (ideally Cloze) and data management.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and research abilities.
