Business Controller

Home office is the Uppsala office and a minimum of three days working from the Uppsala office is required. There is also the possibility to work from the Stockholm office the other days or from home.

The role

The Group Business Control team at Etraveli Group plays a crucial role in supporting the company's growth by delivering key tasks such as reporting to management and stakeholders, managing budgets/forecasts, and acting as a financial partner to the business. Due to increased demands and a company initiative to enhance compliance, internal control, and reporting, the team is expanding. The Business Controller will work closely with senior leaders, guide stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement, with a focus on maximizing business value while ensuring financial control. Strong communication and adaptability to change are essential qualities for this role.

Example of tasks and responsibilities:

• Preparation and analysis of reporting templates such as reporting packages and monthly financial reports and presentations.
• Manage monthly closing activities.
• Ensure data quality in relevant systems and sources.
• Undertake analysis and investigations which contribute to business impact and cost consciousness.
• Documentation of revenues, accounting procedures and other flows.
• Analysis and/or validation of P&L, Balance sheet and Cash flow items.
• Preparation and development of certain compliance routines and processes.
• Internal control testing and documentation.
• Credit review of both current and new potential partners.
• Other Business control tasks that might be relevant given your background and expertise

Requirements

Furthermore, we believe you have:

• Business, Finance or Engineering/Numerical degree
•  2-3 years relevant work experience, ideally as an Auditor or Consultant.
•  Solid analytical skills and experience in analyzing and managing large amounts of data.
• Strong communication skills in order to quickly establish key relationships within the Group and externally.
• Ability to convey your tasks within the organization so that the analysis leads to change in the desired direction.
• Ability to adapt quickly and experience in undertaking projects with different kinds of stakeholders in different parts of the Group.
• Accounting experience is considered a merit.
• Experience in implementing internal control processes in an international working environment is considered a merit.
• Experience in credit review and credit control processes is considered a merit.
• Have a genuine curiosity and interest in technology as well as numbers
• Very good knowledge of Excel.
• Very good command of the English language.
