Business Automation Engineer

We are looking for a business automation engineer to play a crucial role in transforming and optimizing our business operations, making them more efficient and cost-effective through the strategic use of technology.

What is the role?

This role will focus on designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions to improve our business processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce manual intervention.

Specifically, we’ve broken down the role into key areas:

Process Analysis and Design

  • Analyse existing business processes to identify areas that can be automated.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and objectives for automation.
  • Create detailed process maps and workflow diagrams to document current and future states of business processes.

Automation Development

  • Evaluate and select appropriate automation tools and platforms
  • Create and manage custom automation scripts and integrations (including but
    not limited to Make/Monday/SugarCRM/Custom Webhooks/Teams/SharePoint)
  • Develop and maintain integrations between different systems and software to ensure seamless data flow and process execution.

Implementation and Deployment

  • Build, test, and deploy automation solutions according to the specifications and requirements gathered.
  • Ensure seamless integration of automation solutions with CRM, and other
    enterprise systems.
  • Set up and configure automation tools and platforms to meet business needs.
  • Conduct thorough testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure the automation works as intended.

Maintenance and Support

  • Continuously monitor automated processes to ensure they run smoothly and address any issues or errors promptly.
  • Diagnose and resolve problems with automation scripts and tools.
  • Regularly update and enhance automation solutions to adapt to changing business needs or improve performance.

Documentation and Training

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for automated processes, including technical specifications, user guides, and best practices.
  • Investigate and analyse log files for fault finding and security issues
  • Provide training and support to end-users and other stakeholders on how to use and manage automated systems.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate with various teams, including business analysts, IT staff, and business units, to ensure automation solutions align with business goals.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on the status and impact of automation initiatives to management and stakeholders.
