About the role 

The Business Analyst (operations) position presents an exciting opportunity to join our growing team based in our Sydney CBD office. The role is a newly created cross functional role that will primarily support the Chief Operating Officer yet will report to the Corporate Development Manager and sit within the Corporate Development team.

This role is a high performing role with high visibility across the C-suite. This role will suite someone who currently works as a commercial/ strategic/ reporting analyst in a commercial firm and/or is looking for a move into that space.

The candidate must be comfortable with reporting and enjoy working with different sets of data. The candidate will also enjoy working with different stakeholders in a fast-paced environment while driving agendas. 

Responsibilities:

  • Weekly and monthly reporting for upper management
  • Preparing of analysis and decks for pricing committees
  • Raw data analysis and presentation of operational performance trends and insights with recommendations to ensure continuous process improvement
  • Provide analysis to assist in improving overall business productivity, growth and compliance within Operations
  • Ad-hoc analysis and other tasks relevant to the finance and operations department 

What You'll Bring:

  • 1-3 years experience in a similar position
  • High level of business acumen and analytical skills
  • Degree in Commerce (Business, Finance, Economics, Information systems) or Data Analytics/Science
  • Advanced level in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills and confident in engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to present data in a concise manner.
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau) will be advantageous
