ROLE OVERVIEW: 

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with expertise in intraday liquidity and cash management. The role involves working closely with the Bank’s Intraday Liquidity SME to help define and implement strategic initiatives, gathering business requirements, converting them into technical deliverables, and managing dependencies across various functional areas. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the markets industry, strong knowledge of treasury and funding topics, and a proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and excellent communication skills are essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the Intraday Liquidity SME to define and implement the bank's cash management and intraday liquidity strategy.
  • Collect and document business requirements, transforming them into actionable user stories.
  • Work closely with technical teams to articulate business requirements into deliverables.
  • Test and sign off on technical outputs to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Maintain accurate records, provide regular updates, and manage project timelines.
  • Ensure smooth coordination with other functional areas by identifying and addressing dependencies.
  • Continuously update procedures and collaborate with key stakeholders for successful delivery.

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree-level education with a professional qualification, and 5+ years of experience in market-related industries (preferably at HSBC or a competitor).
  • Strong knowledge of treasury or cash management with a focus on intraday liquidity or funding.
  • Familiarity with major global Financial Market Infrastructures (FMI), payment, and security settlement systems.
  • Understanding of end-to-end financial market processes and infrastructure.
  • Proven experience in a business analyst role, with strong stakeholder interaction, analytical skills, and project management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
