Business Analyst II - Regulatory Compliance

*This position is remote in California, with the exception of 2x a year in office a requirement*

We have an opportunity to join the Alliance as a Business Analyst II in the Health Services Department. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Reporting to the Health Services Operation Manager, you will:

  • Conduct basic- to mid-level business requirements analysis within the Operations or Health Services Division
  • Coordinate regulatory and compliance deliverables
  • Project manage small- to medium-scale projects

Our mission is to optimize members’ healthcare outcomes through evidenced-based clinical management, stewardship, and collaboration with provider and community partners. The Utilization Management and Complex Case Management Department ensures that the members of the team have the background and training necessary to complete their assigned tasks.

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Knowledge of:
    • Windows based PC systems and Microsoft Word, Excel (including working knowledge of pivot tables), Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat
    • Working knowledge of standards in business analysis
    • Working knowledge of various business analysis and project management methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall
    • Working knowledge of research, analysis, and reporting methods
    • Working knowledge of the basic principles and practices of project management
  • Ability to:
    • Interpret and apply complex regulations, policies, and procedures
    • Conduct business requirements analysis and translate business requirements into actionable plans and deliverables
    • Define issues, interpret data, identify solutions, and make recommendations for action
    • Think critically to make informed recommendations and decisions
    • Document, summarize and resolve issues and escalate to manager as needed
    • Use a customer-focused approach to solving complex business problems that involve diverse stakeholders
  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Health Care, Business, or a related field and a minimum of three years of experience conducting business analysis, including some project coordination or project management experience (four years of additional experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s degree); or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying.

OTHER INFORMATION

  • We are in a hybrid work environment and we anticipate that the interview process will take place remotely via Microsoft Teams.
  • While some staff may work full telecommuting schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.
  • In-office or in-community presence may be required for some positions and is dependent on business need. Details about this can be reviewed during the interview process.

 The full compensation range for this position is listed by location below. 

The actual compensation for this role will be determined by our compensation philosophy, analysis of the selected candidate's qualifications (direct or transferrable experience related to the position, education or training), as well as other factors (internal equity, market factors, and geographic location).

 

Compensation Range
$69,189.68$121,659.20 USD
