About the Role
The Business Analyst - Data serves as the bridge between business teams and the data function. This role is responsible for gathering requirements, defining key performance metrics, and ensuring data solutions align with business needs. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, experience working with data, and the ability to translate business questions into data-driven answers.
 
Key Responsibilities:
•    Work with stakeholders to gather and define reporting and analytics requirements.
•    Ensure consistency in business rules, metric calculations, and data definitions across departments to drive trust in reporting and analytics.
•    Collaborate with data engineers and BI analysts to ensure data solutions align with business needs.
•    Create, user stories on the Azure DevOps (ADO) board, ensuring clear requirements, acceptance criteria, and alignment with business priorities.
•    Contribute strongly to the definition of key performance indicators (KPIs) across departments to realize trusted and reliable measures are materialized.
•    Conduct data validation and quality assurance to ensure accurate reporting.
•    Support process improvement initiatives by identifying data-driven opportunities.
•    Create documentation for data definitions, dashboards, and reporting processes.
•    Help drive data literacy across the organization by educating teams on how to use data effectively.
•    Support data governance initiatives by ensuring business rules, data definitions, and key metrics are clearly documented, consistently applied, and aligned across departments. Act as a steward for data integrity, helping to drive trust and accountability in enterprise reporting and analytics.
•    Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and data teams, ensuring data solutions meet real-world business needs.
 
Qualifications & Experience:
•    3+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or related roles.
•    Strong SQL skills and ability to analyze and manipulate data.
•    Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Sigma) is a plus.
•    Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
•    Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate data insights into business recommendations and align stakeholders.
•    Familiarity with ERP (MS Dynamics), CRM (Salesforce), and other business systems is a plus.
•    Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
