Business Analyst, Commercial Operations

Position Summary

The business analyst executes the company’s pricing strategy for messaging services, ensures accurate cost and price information, measures profitability, and makes operational decisions to adjust pricing to maximize direct margin.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing regular and ad hoc analysis related to profitability, costs, customers, providers, products, etc.
  • Building profitability reports and proposing actions to maximize direct margin.
  • Proactive monitoring, reporting and executing pricing adjustments for all relevant organizations.
  • Keeping our messaging cost information accurate by uploading suppliers’ price lists.
  • Identify revenue opportunities through understanding strategic clients’ business and market fluctuations.
  • Providing pricing proposals for new and existing customers.
  • Proactively monitor and analyze market and industry changes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including Finance, Customer Success, Business Intelligence, Routing, Carrier Partnership, Product, etc.
  • Gathering and constantly upgrading knowledge of internal procedures, products and the Telecommunication industry.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Economics, Faculty of Organizational Sciences or similar.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel is a must. Basic or intermediate skills working in Tableau are a plus.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to interpret data and derive meaningful conclusions.
  • Ability to communicate complex data and strategies clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented, accountable, reliable, consistent, strong work ethic, focused, and organized critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Willingness and capacity to adapt, learn quickly, and apply new knowledge.
  • Interest in cutting-edge software and technology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience with business analysis, data interpretation and presentation.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
