🙌 The Role
As a Commercial Business Analyst within the Commercial Team, you will be the bridge between our Sales, Marketing, and Insight teams and our technology platforms (principally Salesforce and Tableau). Your role will be to understand the commercial objectives, identify opportunities for process improvement, and translate these needs into effective platform solutions. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring that our Salesforce platform and Tableau reporting is optimized and effectively utilised to meet the dynamic needs of our business.
What you’ll be getting up to:
-
Understand Business Needs: Engage with the commercial team, including Sales, Marketing, and Insight, to gather insights into their challenges and goals.
-
Requirement Gathering: Conduct interviews, workshops, and observations to identify pain points and areas where Salesforce, Tableau and other systems can add value.
-
Solution Design: Collaborate with the Product Team and Engineers teams to design solutions that align with commercial strategies and improve overall efficiency.
-
Process Improvement: Analyse and document current processes, recommending improvements that can be automated or streamlined through Salesforce.
-
Reporting and Dashboards: Develop and manage Salesforce and Tableau reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to the commercial team, enabling data-driven decision-making. Collaborating with Data Analysts and Engineers as needed.
-
Data Management: Ensure that data is accurate, consistent, and reliable. Support the Commercial team in maintaining data integrity.
-
Project Management: Work closely with Product and Commercial teams to ensure that the solutions are implemented as planned, providing ongoing support as needed to ensure smooth change rollouts.
-
Stakeholder Communication: Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and outcomes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
-
Training & Documentation: Prepare training materials and documentation to help commercial teams understand and use Salesforce, Tableau and technology solutions effectively.
-
Performance Monitoring: Track the performance of technology solutions, iterating solutions as needed to meet evolving business needs.
The role will be a great fit if you have:
-
Experience: Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally with a focus on Salesforce within a Commercial or Sales environment.
-
Salesforce Knowledge: Strong understanding of Salesforce functionalities, particularly in relation to sales, marketing, and customer service processes. Ideally with Salesforce qualification.
-
Tableau Knowledge: Strong understanding of Tableau reporting. Ideally with Tableau qualification.
-
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex business problems and translate them into practical, scalable Salesforce solutions.
-
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
-
Project Management: Experience in managing or supporting projects, including creating roadmaps and timelines.
-
Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills, with experience managing multiple stakeholders and aligning them towards a common goal.
-
Problem-Solving: A proactive problem-solver who can anticipate issues before they arise and find creative solutions.
-
Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
-
Team Player: A collaborative approach, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
If you’re excited about leveraging technology platforms to drive commercial success and are looking for a role where you can make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you!
