Business Analyst (Agile/Scrum)

  • Operate in a continuous delivery mode, iteratively analyzing, testing, and delivering features.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Agile principles and Lean methodologies for effective and efficient delivery.
  • Guide the team in Agile practices, ensuring clarity around ceremonies, deliverables, dependencies, and roles within the Agile development methodology.
  • Collaborate with Business Relationship Managers, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners to define project scope and detailed requirements.
  • Create, refine, and maintain user stories and related deliverables such as process flows and test cases to meet development and stakeholder needs.
  • Facilitate discussions around story sizing, sprint planning, story splitting, and determining technical story details.
  • Work closely with the Product Owner and other Business Analysts on prioritizing user stories in the product backlog and defining acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure delivered solutions meet business needs by working with the Product Owner and stakeholders to validate requirements.
  • Support business stakeholders in user story testing and validation processes.
  • Provide coaching and guidance in Agile methodologies to junior resources, helping to build expertise within the team.
  • Lead workshops and meetings with stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization, utilizing effective facilitation techniques.
  • Act as a champion for the team, working to remove blockers and facilitate collaboration between cross-functional team members.
  • Minimum of 5 years as a Business Analyst on information technology projects.
  • At least 2 years as a Business Analyst in an Agile business intelligence project-based environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and tools, with hands-on experience in user story creation, team planning, retrospectives, and sprint management.
  • Experience with descriptive analytics, predictive insights, AI/ML, and digital solutions, with a focus on cloud platforms like Azure Databricks and PowerBI.
  • Prior experience in the food industry domain, including IT systems like Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ERP platforms (SAP or Oracle), and Quality Management Systems (QMS). Understanding of industry-specific regulations such as the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking skills, and ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English (written and spoken), with the ability to engage with US-based business partners and cross-functional teams.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Visio, JIRA, Confluence, and other project management and Agile tools.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is advantageous.
  • Experience working with global teams across multiple time zones, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed environment.

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience with Business Analytics & Insights Technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and Microsoft PowerBI.
  • Background knowledge in Azure Databricks with PowerBI, supporting advanced data analytics and visualization efforts.
