Bungie Foundation Community and Events Manager

Bungie is seeking a Community and Events Manager to work with the Bungie Foundation team to design and execute innovative community engagement and event-driven fundraising strategies that propel our mission forward. The ideal candidate isn’t afraid to dive into projects headfirst and is skilled at collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, internally and externally,  to ensure execution aligns with the Bungie Foundation’s overall goals. This candidate will be comfortable in the spotlight, but more interested in shining a light on the community that makes all of our work possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive community engagement plans throughout the year and around key events.
  • Develop and implement strategies for short-term and long-term recognition, rewards, and engagement.
  • Create safe and uplifting environments for the community to interact with one another, foster relationships with content creators, community leaders, and help provide deep insight into the Bungie Foundation’s impact.
  • Work with our Communications Manager to grow the Bungie Foundation’s presence on owned social media channels, websites, Salesforce, and Discord.
  • Manage all planning and implementation for key events, such as virtual fundraisers, live streams, conferences, and conventions, partnering with internal and external teams, as appropriate.
  • Create clear and realistic production plans for all events and activities.
  • Track and clearly communicate schedules, deadlines, and progress to all stakeholders, as well as relevant and time-sensitive issues.
  • Manage and negotiate community and events-related contracts and financial agreements.
  • Monitor community conversation and report sentiment issues or opportunities to stakeholders.
  • Partner with Community and Player Support teams to identify and address community-facing issues.
  • Develop and maintain productive business relationships with external vendors to ensure our high caliber is met through timely delivery of project reviews and feedback for events.
  • Collaborate internally with our Creator Marketing team and mange relationships with content creators across multiple IPs and mediums
  • Collaborate internally with internal development teams to produce digital and physical incentives for fundraising and community engagement.
  • Manage project risks and escalate issues with proposed solutions.
  • Schedule and coordinate the details for necessary meetings and ensure completion of action items.
  • Facilitate collaboration with all stakeholders, including anticipating and aligning resource constraints.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Demonstrated experience and success in events management, project management, production, or community management.
  • Previous experience fostering positive community engagement.
  • Willing and able to travel to support non-local events, and work irregular hours around events (estimated 4 per year)
  • Comfortable and willing to speak in public and engage with community members in-person and virtually.
  • Work with limited supervision and use independent judgement outside of established practices, when necessary.
  • Exemplary communication skills: listen to, speak with, resolve conflicts, and leave no doubt about the plan of record across all stakeholders.
  • Outstanding analytical skills: understand, simplify, and solve or seek the solution to any problem in evolving and adaptive environments.
  • Self-disciplined, with ability to self-motivate and motivate others when possible.
  • Detail oriented and organized; comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
  • Results oriented, focused, and composed under pressure.
  • Socially intelligent with great interpersonal skills and empathy for others.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and project management software.
  • Experience and understanding of the video game community, ideally the Destiny community, including what cultivates engagement and motivates participation and giving.

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

  • Experience working in the nonprofit sector, particularly within the Bungie Foundation’s area of focus.
  • Plays Destiny and understands the game very well.
  • Enthusiasm for Marathon and future Bungie titles.
Listed below is this role's base pay range. In other locations that Bungie has approved for remote work, this pay range may be adjusted up to +/- 10% and some roles may be classified as non-exempt (hourly). 

This range is determined by an array of factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Additionally, it is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Bellevue Pay Range
$119,000$143,000 USD
