The role
- Our team based in Tokyo is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Brand Marketing Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate and knowledgeable in a wide range of topical local pop culture, and has a strong background in digital marketing, brand partnerships, and a proven track record of executing innovative marketing campaigns to build awareness and conversion. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage multiple campaigns across various digital and brand channels. Reporting will be to the Country Director, and working with regional and global teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies with country director to achieve business objectives, including onboarding partnerships, customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Community Development: introduce and manager partnerships, seeding strategies and communities to drive content and engagement with cultural tastemakers and drivers.
- Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and optimize digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Instagram, email (Klaviyo), programmatic advertising).
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance metrics to assess campaign effectiveness and ROI. Provide actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Budget Management: Manage and allocate budgets effectively to maximize ROI and meet business goals. Track and report on budget spend and campaign performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including content, design, product, and sales, to ensure cohesive and integrated marketing efforts.
- SEO & SEM: Oversee and optimize search engine marketing (SEM) and search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to improve organic and paid search performance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in performance marketing, digital marketing, or a related role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, and other relevant tools.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Japanese. Business-level English comprehension a plus. Ability to present data and insights clearly and effectively to various stakeholders.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Creative Thinking: Ability to think creatively and innovatively to drive campaign success.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
