Summary of Position:
Penta is seeking a Brand Associate or Senior Brand Associate to join our team in Washington, DC. This person will help bring our public affairs campaigns to life, working closely with designers, ad buyers, and communications strategists across multiple clients and projects. A successful candidate is intellectually curious, eager to learn and contribute, works well in teams, has strong writing and time-management skills, and is ultimately interested in developing creative solutions that help solve complex challenges. Ideal candidates have a demonstrated interest/experience in some combination of: digital/creative, writing, research, communications, and data analysis. All associates at Penta receive robust training and mentorship and benefit from immediate client exposure. Penta associates often but not always work on multiple client teams composed of partners, directors, and fellow associates, resulting in exciting professional development opportunities in a fun, collaborative, fast-paced, and challenging environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with creative, strategy, and production teams developing public affairs, brand strategy, and creative campaign recommendations for clients
- Draft planning materials that ensure high-quality, strategically sound deliverables, including project proposals, strategy briefs, and creative briefs
- Write communications products like strategy memos, press releases, opinion pieces, and social media posts
- Draft explanatory materials on complex policy issues like memos that summarize research, detail a policy landscape, and highlight key findings
- Develop and manage digital campaigns on platforms such as Twitter/X, Facebook, and Google, and synthesize results
- Work with the creative production team to develop comprehensive creative campaign assets, including TV/video, digital, social, radio, websites, and event activations
- Work in collaboration with our ads management team to report on campaign performance and optimization recommendations for clients
- Follow clients' businesses and industries to maintain a current knowledge base and keep the team apprised of new and ongoing developments
Qualifications:
- 0 - 3 years of experience working in public affairs, digital marketing, or in a similar position, either as an intern or full-time employee
- Experience with drafting communications products for a variety of audiences at a communications agency, trade association, publicly traded company, media outlet, federal agency, or on the Hill is a plus
- Proficiency in building compelling presentation deliverables using Google Slides, or PowerPoint
- Experience using Excel, or Google Sheets to track campaigns or creative projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skillsInterest in storytelling and creative conceptualization
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple, competing priorities
- Strong analytical and project management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to take initiative; motivated and self-startingInterest in or openness to learning basic design skills, using programs such as Figma
- Experience with creating graphics and data visualizations is a plus
- Experience with data management is a plusPast exposure to project management tools, like Asana, is preferred

Location:
This position is for US-based personnel and we are considering applicants in the Washington, DC metro area who can be in-person in-office four days per week.
Salary Range:
The base salary range for this position will be $57,000 - $77,000, depending on a candidate’s experience and qualifications as they relate to the position.
