Branch Merchandiser

OVERVIEW:

This is a newly created opportunity within Gymshark as a result of our IRL Retail success. This role would suit an experienced multi-site Retail Merchandiser who has led the retail inventory strategy and implemented processes with success!

You’ll be managing in season stock for the international retail business, maintaining availability to the highest possible standards. You’ll be working closely with the International Merch Planning team to understand and execute planned inventory strategy for the international retail business, with support from an Assistant Merchandiser.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

As Branch Merchandiser, you will ensure our customers can purchase what they want in our stores in the size and colour they require. You’ll be responsible for the creation and setup of best practice & ways of working documentation for newly formed branch merch function and coaching direct reports.

• Overseeing allocation of new product launches to store & consequent regular replenishment for all international retail stores
• Plan out NPD (New Product) launches at store level accounting for capacity, trade feedback & split deliveries
• Inform central retail team of upcoming NPD & monitor lateness 
• Liaising with central retail team on any planned events & required stock builds
• Ownership of stock for key calendar moments such as school holidays & Christmas gifting.
• Regular meetings with VM / Planning for latest space plans
• Ownership of delivery schedule planning & liaising with supply chain team to confirm stock is scanning & ticketed correctly
• Forecast DC space requirements for international retail stock on an annual basis
• Delivering detailed, timely and accurate branch analysis that informs and affects future retail strategy
• Inform the international merch planning lessons learnt process with any key branch learnings
• Work with merch planning to visualise the retail buy & share with VM
• Set up best practice & ways of working documentation for newly formed
  branch merch function

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Criteria:

• Operational confidence in keeping on top of sales performance, proposing actions and following tasks through to completion
• Ability to manage team workload and prioritisation tasks
• Plenty of experience operating key branch merchandising tools – including; Allocation & Replenishment, space planning, store grading & weekly sales reporting
• Comfortable dealing with large excel spreadsheets, summarising information and pulling out the key takeaways and recommendations.
• Ability to adapt to new reporting tools quickly, all with the view to improve forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
• Forensically analytical, data literate and commercially minded

WHAT YOU COULD ALSO HAVE:

• Experience managing direct reports
• Knowledge of new world branch merchandising software and forecasting techniques
• Advanced analytics methods across key branch merchandising topics
• Experience working on a mixture of DTC/B2B/online & offline sales channels
• A range of experience using different methods and approaches to branch merchandising
• Experience working in a business that has experienced rapid growth
• Experience setting up process / ways of working from scratch

This is a hybrid role, you are able to work from; GSIQ (Solihull) or London HQ (165 Regent St, London).

We would require the successful candidate to attend either a minimum of 3 days a week depending on demand/need.
