Job Description: QA Test Engineer for Blue Planet Inventory Management System (BPI)
Capgemini Engineering is on the lookout for a motivated Quality Assurance Test Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing the Blue Planet Inventory Management System, ensuring its quality and performance by conducting rigorous testing and validation processes.

Job Responsibilities
• Develop and execute test plans based on project requirements and specifications for the Blue Planet Inventory Management System.
• Create detailed test cases and scenarios for validating integrations with other BP components, including SOO, MDSO, and various Network Elements (EMS).
• Test Discovery features and ensure accurate data integrity within the Inventory Management system.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand user requirements and provide feedback.
• Execute both manual and automated testing, documenting results and defects for resolution.
• Perform regression testing to verify that new features do not disrupt existing functionalities.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies to contribute to team progress and project planning.
• Update and maintain inventory data in BPI as part of the testing process.
Essential Skills
• 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on testing software applications.
• Solid understanding of Network Inventory Management, specifically using Blue Planet Inventory (BPI).
• Familiarity with integrations with other BP components (SOO, MDSO) and EMS/Network elements.
• Knowledge of telecom network elements (e.g., routers, switches) for validation of network inventory processes.
• Proficient in test and validation of Discovery features and related functionalities of BPI.
• Strong knowledge of TMF Open APIs.
• Basic programming skills in Java, Python, or other scripting technologies.
• Experience with automated testing tools like Selenium or Junit is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Additional Skills (Preferred)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git) for integrating tests into development pipelines.
• Understanding of network protocols (e.g., SNMP, NETCONF) relevant for validating integration points with network elements.
• Knowledge of Active and Passive Inventory concepts.
