Title: BPC Private Label - Product Lead (Product Development)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and Execute Product Development End to End:
- Conduct market analysis, customer research, and trend research to inform product development strategies.
- Perform competition analysis and benchmarking to identify white spaces in the market.
- Lead the conceptualization and execution of product development initiatives from ideation to launch.
- Own New Product Development (NPD):
- Take ownership of new product development to build and enhance the assortment.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment with company goals and market demands.
- Formulation Development:
- Work closely with labs and formulation providers to develop products that meet desired quality and performance standards.
- Ensure that formulations align with regulatory requirements and market expectations.
- Relationship Management:
- Establish and manage relationships with manufacturers, packaging partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and ensure smooth collaboration.
- End-to-End Product Testing:
- Oversee the end-to-end product testing process to ensure compliance with global quality and performance standards.
- Coordinate testing activities with internal teams and external partners as needed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful launch and scale-up of brands and product ranges.
- Work closely with marketing, sales, operations, and other departments to drive product success.
- Team Management:
- Lead a team of individuals spanning across sourcing, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, promoting professional growth and development.
- PnL Ownership:
- Jointly own the Brand PnL with category managers, ensuring financial objectives are met.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Experience -
- 8-10 years of experience in product development, preferably in the Beauty, Personal Care industry.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, consumer trends, and competitive landscape.
- Proven track record of successful product launches and portfolio management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Experience in PnL management and financial analysis is preferred.
