We also provide personal and professional development opportunities for seafarers with the Marine Society. Working with our staff, cadets, and volunteers, we have built a vision and five-year strategy to take us forward and further improve the astounding contribution already made through our work to the lives of thousands of young people and seafarers, while fully supporting our volunteers who are vital to our success.
We are currently looking for an experienced Bosun to join our team.
The ideal applicant will have experience of square rig sailing, general seamanship and maintenance of sailing vessels. Mainly employed on the foredeck, the Bosun must have the ability to lead and manage a team and to work effectively with young people.
The successful applicant will be required to become a uniformed member of the Sea Cadet Corps and to undertake an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check. The post holder will be responsible to the Commanding Officer TS Royalist, through the Sailing Master.
