What you will be doing

This is an exciting time to join Breathe. Having proven the value of our products in both the automotive and consumer electronics spaces, we are scaling our engineering team to enable continued development of our embedded products according to the needs of customers in both markets. You will work will work with some of the brightest minds in the battery space to turn the latest research into tangible improvements in battery performance. The features you build will be delivered to some of the largest and best-known auto and device manufacturers in the world - you will be expected to deliver high-quality software in an increasingly efficient manner as we scale.

As well as the ability to learn from and with a room full of experts working at the cutting edge of the industry, we will provide the support and training to develop your skills as a developer, be that via courses, conferences or other learning opportunities / materials.

Your responsibilities

  • Execute our software development in Matlab/Simulink and write supporting documentation 
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineers to define software product architecture based on the requirements
  • Design test cases to verify software functionality
  • Carry out simulation campaigns to validate our software product performance in Matlab/Simulink
  • Actively contribute to the design and improvement of the product development lifecycle 
  • Once you are ready, collaborate with our battery engineers on the development of new features

Requirements

  • Experience developing Model-Based software in Matlab/Simulink (at least two years)
  • Experience with Real-Time control and modelling techniques (at least two years)
  • Experience with Embedded C/C++ and Python is a plus, but not esssential
  • Experience with batteries of battery management systems (BMS) is a plus, but not essential
  • A drive for efficiency and automation in all aspects of your work 
  • An attitude & ability to take a high-level target outcome and autonomously translate it into reality 
  • Kind and conscientious
