LightEdge is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of relevant experience in billing, financial analysis, or a related field. This role will primarily focus on ensuring accurate and timely billing processes, reconciling accounts, revenue recognition and analyzing financial data to support decision-making. The ideal candidate is motivated, innovative, and excited to learn new technologies. This position reports to the Revenue Assurance Manager and works closely with all departments.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end billing process, including invoicing, collections, terminations processing and reconciliations.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of billing transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
- Analyze billing data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, and Customer Service, to resolve billing issues and improve billing efficiency.
- Provide timely responses to customer inquiries and investigate billing issues.
- Prepare month-end tasks related to billing activities, reconciliations and revenue recognition.
- Understand quote-to-bill process and resolve errors as needed.
- Gather customer information to get an understanding of their business needs and establish rapport.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in billing, financial analysis, or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with billing & accounting software (Salesforce & NetSuite experience a plus).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with various teams.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting priorities accordingly.
- Able to maintain professional demeanor under stress.
