Are you passionate about data and ready to make an impact? We’re seeking a skilled Big Data Engineer to join our dynamic data extraction team at Similarweb.
Data is at the core of Similarweb. As an Big Data Engineer, you’ll design and implement high-scale systems to retrieve and analyze internet data, directly influencing our data infrastructure and client insights.
Scraping: Build and maintain large-scale web-scraping operations.
Processing: Develop complex data pipelines to process and enrich raw data.
Engineering: Design and build robust, large-scale systems to support data infrastructure.
📝 Write complex PySpark applications for data processing.
🛠️ Develop high-performance, dockerized microservices.
🤝 Collaborate with talented engineers and learn new technologies.
☁️ Implement solutions within AWS cloud.
🧐 Monitor and debug data pipelines and services.
✅ 3+ years in server-side software development (e.g. C#, Java, Python).
📚 Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, Airflow).
🌐 Familiar with cloud environments (e.g. AWS, GCP), Docker, and Kubernetes.
🌍 Knowledge of web scraping technologies and internet internals? A plus!
