The Work

We are looking for a BI Specialist with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Fabric to join our team. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying data-driven applications and dashboards that transform business data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will be skilled in data visualization with Power BI, application development with PowerApps, and data management and integration using SQL Server and Microsoft Fabric. 

The Core Responsibilities

  • Power BI Development and Data Visualization:
  • Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to deliver insights based on business requirements. 
  • Use Microsoft Fabric and Power BI Dataflows to create efficient data pipelines and automate data processing. 
  • Optimize data models for performance and scalability within Power BI, utilizing DAX, Power Query, and Fabric capabilities.

  • Data Management and Integration with Microsoft SQL Server and Fabric: 
  • Build and manage data structures in Microsoft SQL Server, leveraging tables, views, stored procedures, and other database objects.
  • Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance across all reports, applications, and integrations. 
  • Collaborate with data engineers and other IT team members to support seamless data flow across platforms.

  • Training and End-User Support:
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users to facilitate the effective use of Power BI reports and PowerApps applications. 
  • Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements based on user feedback. 
  • Document solutions and create guides to standardize best practices for using Power BI, PowerApps, SQL Server, and Fabric. 

  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
  • Stay updated on new features in Power BI, PowerApps, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Fabric. 
  • Identify opportunities to leverage the Power Platform, including Power Automate, to automate workflows and enhance efficiency. 
  • Recommend improvements and innovative solutions to meet evolving business needs and drive efficiency. 

Let's Talk About You!

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field. 
  • 1-3 years of experience with Power BI, PowerApps, and Microsoft SQL Server. 
  • Proficiency with Power BI, including report generation, DAX, Power Query, and data visualization techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server for database managementand data integration.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric for data pipeline and ETL processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
