BI Developer/ Data Engineer

The Office in Seville is responsible for developing and maintaining the Upstream Data platform of Sportradar's world-leading sports betting services, providing data to hundreds of Bookmakers around the globe, seen by millions of users daily, and supporting more than 100k transactions per second.

You will spend time on

  • Working collaboratively with product and support teams to leverage the product capabilities for our customers and internal initiatives lead by data analysis. 

  • Performing data analysis, design and development of BI solutions including, modelling, transformation and visualization. 

  • Enhancing the value of the product to our customers by providing key insights. 

  • Identifying BI application performance bottlenecks seeking to optimize it. 

  • Understanding how our business works and how products add value to customers. 

  • Learning and sharing experiences on new technologies and trends and how you can leverage them in current and future products. 

  • Collaborating and sharing knowledge with others across the group. 

  • Maintaining standard processes and following development best practices. 

  • Exhibiting passion and showing commitment to drive change. 

We are looking for these skills: 

  • Great analytical skills. We focus on quality: clean code, refactoring and TDD. 

  • Understanding in Business Intelligence and Data warehousing concepts and methodologies. 

  • Expertise and experience in at least one BI Visualization tool such as, Oracle BI, Oracle Analytics server/cloud, Tableau, Power BI, Qlikview/Qliksense, and any other. 

  • Familiarly with version control tools such us Gitlab, Bitbucket, Subversion. 

  • Expert level SQL knowledge. 

  • Knowledge of industry standard ETL processes and tools (i.e., Oracle Data Integrator, Talend, Pentaho Kettle, Microsoft SSIS, Apache airflow). 

  • Possess good communication. 

  • Proactivity in proposing a potential solution for a given analytical requirement.  

  • Our work language is English, so it is paramount to be fluent in both written and spoken. 

 

Nice to have: 

  • Knowledge of business domain. Sports betting or e-gaming 

  • Python / R coding and scripting 

  • Previous experience on advance analytics, Machine learning, AI projects.  

  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. 

  • Experience working with Agile methodologies like Scrum
