We are currently recruiting for a Beef Slaughter Operative to work in our busy manufacturing site in Merthyr Tydfil.
This is a full time, permanent position working 12.00pm to 10.00pm, Monday to Friday. With an hourly rate of £11.94
Role Purpose
Working in slaughtering, performing some semi-skilled tasks, moving dolavs of by products, dragging and salting hides, preparing some offal’s for further processing, use of FLT and Bobcat’s.
Role Requirements
- Monitor and move dolavs when full.
- Cut, trim, prepare carcasses for further processing.
- Clean materials to prepare them for production.
- Trim, clean, or cure animal hides.
- Remove offal and prep ready for further processing.
- Prepare meat products for sale or consumption.
- Trim offal and by products to required spec.
- Aitch bone hang carcasses.
- Remove feet, ears and horns.
- Complete general tasks within the abattoir.
