BCS Substitute Teacher

As a BCS Substitute Teacher at Bethel Church of Redding, you will play a vital role in maintaining the educational flow for K-8th grade students in the absence of their regular teacher. Your main responsibilities will include managing classroom behavior, implementing lesson plans, and ensuring a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, able to follow instructions, and possess strong communication skills.

Your duties will also involve:

  • Following lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure a consistent learning experience.
  • Managing classroom dynamics to promote participation and minimize distractions.
  • Supervising students in various settings—classroom, playground, and cafeteria.
  • Adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  • Developing long-term lesson plans when acting as a long-term substitute.

$20 per hour

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • University Degree.
  • An active teaching credential is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Bethel Church's core values.
  • Commitment to the Christian faith, embodying values consistent with following Jesus Christ.
  • Ability to lead Christian discipleship activities, such as prayer, worship, and Bible study.
  • Capacity to cultivate activities aligned with Bethel's culture, including prophetic practices, worship, healing, and intercession.
