The Elementary School Baseball Coach is responsible for imparting fundamental baseball skills, fostering a love for the sport, and promoting teamwork among elementary school students. This coaching role plays a pivotal part in developing young athletes both athletically and personally, instilling values of sportsmanship and fair play.
Baseball season is from February through April
$16 per hour
15 hours per week
Requirements
1. Skill Development:
o Teach fundamental baseball skills, including batting, fielding, pitching, and base running.
o Design and implement age-appropriate drills to enhance individual and team proficiency.
o Focus on creating a positive and encouraging environment for skill development.
2. Team Building:
o Foster a sense of teamwork, cooperation, and camaraderie among elementary school players.
o Encourage fair play, good sportsmanship, and respect for teammates and opponents.
3. Practice Coordination:
o Plan and organize structured practices that balance skill development with an enjoyable experience.
o Coordinate practice schedules and ensure a safe and inclusive atmosphere during training sessions.
4. Game Management:
o Lead and coach the baseball team during games
o Provide strategic guidance, constructive feedback, and positive reinforcement during games.
5. Communication:
o Maintain open communication with players, parents, and school administration.
o Provide regular updates on team progress, upcoming events, and any relevant information.
Qualifications:
o Previous coaching experience, preferably in elementary school baseball.
o Knowledge of basic baseball techniques, rules, and game strategies.
o Effective communication skills, especially with young athletes.
o Passion for fostering character development through sports.
