In this pivotal role, you will act as a key support for our design, release, and manufacturing teams, particularly within the realm of battery assembly. Collaborating closely with various engineering leads and coordinators, your objective will be to ensure the seamless passage of our batteries through the End of Line (EOL) testing phases, in addition to spearheading the resolution of system-level battery challenges to uphold production efficiency.
Missions:
- Conduct EOL testing for a range of high-voltage batteries at our CTC Pilot Plant, which includes assisting with problem-solving and the documentation and tracking of any issues.
- Engage in root cause analysis activities by evaluating EOL data using tools like Vector CAN, INCA, or plant tester diagnostic tools, or through direct visual inspection and measurement.
- Assist in the correction of module voltage variations through charging, monitoring, and inventory management to enhance pack assembly.
- Oversee the flashing of BPCM/CSC and other communication protocols to ensure optimal pack assembly through correct pairing.
- Contribute to change control processes and the establishment of clean points, which may involve part relabeling or off-line re-flashing as necessary.
- Document new requirements, best practices, and lessons learned under the guidance of BMS engineering and Pack Integration teams.
- Provide support in the triage of pilot vehicles and at a systems level for troubleshooting battery pack issues, ensuring clear communication at the vehicle level.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 2-3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated systems engineering knowledge paired with analytical and problem-solving skills, aimed at delivering swift solutions within specific applications.
- Proven experience with data acquisition and the ability to utilize development diagnostic tools and data acquisition tools, including INCA and Vector tools like CANalyzer.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach.
