Battery Prototyping, Testing and Validation

1. Manage the shipping of completed battery packs to test facilities according to customer requirements.
2. Coordinate and execute validation testing based on the Design Validation Plan and Report (DVP&R), adhering to test specifications and best practices.
3. Ensure timely provision of test specifications, procedures, and hardware to meet test targets.
4. Review and approve test setups at various facilities before test commencement.
5. Track test progress, report updates in program meetings, and troubleshoot issues.
6. Maintain comprehensive records for each validation test and approve final test reports.
7. Lead the development and improvement of Test Procedures, Design Validation Plans (DV), and Process Validation Plans (PV) for EV Battery development.
8. Provide technical support as a Resident Engineer at Testing Suppliers.
9. Investigate validation issues, conduct root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans.
10. Utilize tools like CANalyzer to integrate battery control modules.
11. Apply proactive and reactive engineering problem-solving skills.
12. Lead root cause analysis to identify failure modes and recommend corrective actions.
13. Conduct tests to recreate failure modes identified during validation testing or warranty claims.

• Understanding of automotive battery designs.
• Knowledge of electronic bill of material systems and CAD systems.
• Familiarity with fasteners and torque.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Understanding of battery electronics.
• Knowledge of tools for collecting and plotting battery data.

The position is based in Auburn Hills, MI. The candidate must be eligible to go work in the US.
