Backend Software Engineer, EGP at Scale

Scale EGP (Enterprise Generative AI Platform) is an enterprise-grade Generative AI platform that provides APIs for knowledge retrieval, inference, evaluation, and more. We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in building and scaling our product. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software engineering principles and practices, as well as experience with large-scale distributed systems. You will be responsible for owning large new areas within our product, working across backend and cloud infrastructure, as well as interacting with LLMs and ML models. You will solve hard engineering problems in scalability and reliability.

You will need:

Strong principles with Software Architecture design
Expertise with Python, FastAPI, SQL (note that we are mostly language-agnostic and are open to using whatever is the best tech for the problem at hand)
Familiarity with Kubernetes
Work across the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization through production, ensuring a robust and scalable solution
Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and quickly learn and adapt to new technologies as needed

Ideally you’d have:

2+ years of full-time engineering experience post-graduation
Familiarity with Typescript, React, NextJS
Familiarity with Terraform, Helm
Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, and/or on-prem deployments
Proven experience scaling products, particularly in hyper-growth startup environments
